Officer Adam Whitmore - 2B6 was born and raised in southeastern Idaho and graduated from Preston High School in 2001. After high school he attended college at Alexandria Technical College in Alexandria Minnesota. In 2003 he graduated with an Associate in Applied Science Degree for Law Enforcement. After college he was certified as a Law Enforcement Officer in the state of Minnesota.
In 2007 he moved to South Dakota and was a Deputy Sheriff for the Moody County Sheriff's office. He graduated from the South Dakota Peace Officers Standard and Training (P.O.S.T.) Academy in June 2007. While at the academy he received the 'Bill Davis Top Gun Award' for his shooting skills. While with the Sheriff?s office he attended many trainings including highway drug interdiction. He was also a certified dispatcher in the state of South Dakota.
Officer Whitmore was hired by the Montpelier Police Department in 2010. He is happy to be working for the city of Montpelier and looks forward to serving the community for many years into the future.
